Gretna Hall Hotel , 3 star - Built in 1710 as one of the original marriage houses, Gretna Hall has been a 'mecca' for runaway couples over the centuries. The original manor house has been extended to provide accommodation in line with today's requirements yet the hotel has retained a historic feel helped by the original Blacksmiths Courtyard where, even today, hundreds still flock to be married each year.
